EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Women invent numerous reasons to explain why they don’t have what they want, but for most it is either they are not clear about what they want or they have not yet learned the proper ways to create it.
At Women’s Pathways to Health, the Empowerment Program enables clients to envision and create the life they want. During 12 one-hour sessions, clients are guided through seven life-defining areas:
- Emotions
- Relationships
- Sexuality
- Body
- Money
- Work
- Spirituality
In each of these life-areas, clients will:
- Identify limiting beliefs
- Create a turnaround resulting in a positive affirmation
- Develop a passionate vision for their life
- Learn tools to manifest this vision
The foundation of Women’s Pathways to Health’s Empowerment Program is the work of David Gershon and Gail Straub the founders of the Empowerment Institute. Their book, “Empowerment: The Art of Creating Your Life As You Want It,” in addition to their over 30-years experience of guiding clients on this journey are important resources for the program.

“Mel presented at the November. 2011 MN Women In Networking meeting on how we set our goals with the best of intentions, but then our limiting beliefs get in the way of success. She walked us through an exercise to help us turn our negative responses to another more productive and positive belief. For example, I identified a personal limiting belief “There’s always something.” which doesn’t serve to move me forward. With Mel’s guidance, I was able to change it to a more positive thought, “Things always work out.” This has given me a fresher perspective and I’m already feeling an increased energy and tenacity for my goals. This all happened in under 25 minutes! I’m certain even more wonderful epiphanies happen in her coaching sessions!” ~Teresa Thomas-Carroll, Director, MN Women In Networking
